Welp, I'm almost through the second week of not working and so far so good. I've been hitting the gym pretty hard until a stomach bug derailed that last weekend, but all appears to be well there again too. I spent 3 hours at the gym today, some of it in the steam room, which was great. Sadly, I don't think I'll have that kind of time to spend once I do start working again, so best to take advantage of it now.
My diet has also started to come back around. Tempting as it it might be sit around and get drunk in my boxers in the afternoon, I have been able to avoid alcohol almost completely and really focus on healthy and nutritious meals. Since I've been home I've found myself doing the grocery shopping, all of the cooking and most of the dishes as well so that helps me control things a little bit too.
I haven't spent as much time as I'd like getting my resume and LinkedIn pages back up to snuff, but I'm making some progress there at least. Hopefully by this weekend I will have those crossed off the list as well. Next up is reading some books I have picked up recently from Stephen Covey and Tony Robbins to get myself headed down a "right" path. I had been living an "employee-centered" life according to how Covey defines human behaviour and have not been following a more general set of guiding principles. Maybe once the resume is up to date I can take a crack at a personal mission statement as well. That's something else he recommends to help you to live by your guiding principles.
And then lastly I need to get started on my meditation and journalling. I definitely watch too much TV, so curtailing that will give me adequate time to fit those in. Show of hands, how many of you journal outside of your blog posts ( be there here or some place with a little different prerogative)? How about meditation? I'd love to here what else you guys and girls might be doing to help keep you centered. Please let me know, I'm always looking to incorporate new ideas into how I live my life!
Thanks! Jaret

As of the end of the day I'm two weeks away from leaving my current job. It's been a great experience, but ultimately I have ceased to see the direction we are headed and so I have decided to head elsewhere. The only downside being that I have been so busy in the last little while that I am not yet sure what the next thing is... I'm entering into the great unknown and hoping that I will be able to re-discover my passion and my purpose!
Scary stuff to be sure, but definitely something that was long over-due.
Wish me luck on my next chapter!! I hope you all are travelling down the path that is right for you as well!!!

Here in Manitoba we are celebrating Family Day / Louis Riel Day / February needed a holiday too day... Sadly I have so much work stacked up on my desk that I will likely not have much time to enjoy any of the three days I should have off this weekend. Luckily, I'm only 6 weeks away now from being at my end date, so next quarter end it will be someone else's problem. I don't like to proactively countdown the days, because I find that a little disrespectful, but all the same I know the end is near.
I can't wait to regain my free time and get back to doing the things that I actually enjoy. What a concept in the 21st century!!
Enjoy your weekend everyone!

Despite the fact we are just winding up for year-end, I'm getting started on a 4-day week. Friday will be a day off in order to curl in a local bonspiel. It starts Thursday night, and goes until Monday night if we happen to get on a win streak. Any curlers out there in blog-land?
What's your favorite position???

So I walked in to my Boss' office on Monday and told her I was tired off my current job and that I was looking to move on. I've been working with the same place for 10+ years and for the most part have been doing effectively the same thing that entire time. My salary has nearly tripled and I've had my title change twice, but I didn't really feel like I was making any actual career progressions, and alas, decided it might be best to try my hand at something else.
It's a scary thought, thinking about leaving something you have been doing for so long. I feel like as old as the furniture in our building some days though, and all good things must come to an end. While I'm terrified at the thought of picking up and moving on elsewhere, I'm exhilarated by the possibilities ahead!
Anyone else make any recent drastic life changes? What told you it was time to make a change?

Who would it be and why?
I turned the Olympics on this morning and one of my favorites was on, Martina Hingis. I've always liked watching her play tennis and she always seems like she's having fun. She's got a nice athletic body, super sexy legs..... Mmmm I wish she was playing with different balls right now. So hot!!!
Pity they're about to lose the first set, but I won't hold that against her.

Girls keeping their bras on...

Hey Folks, I've noticed a fair bit lately that girls' will often (maybe occasionally) leave their bras on when they are getting down and dirty. The last cam i had up that was the only thing she had on. So question: why is that? Is their an inherent reason why you would be willing to show off the rest of your body, but not want to show those off as well? Full disclosure, I'm a breast man. So this saddens me to no end. There are few things I enjoy more than imagining how much of a "handful" (or mouthful) you might be! Please let me know if you have any thoughts on this. I'm dying to know what this phenomenon might be about. Happy Thursday folks, we're almost there for another week!! ~Wok

I saw a poll on TV the other day that stated 50% of respondents prefer to do something low-key to celebrate, versus heading out to one of the city's various celebrations. I can generally agree with that, I'm not a big crowd fan at the best of times. It's nice to see some of the attractions for the weekend as well though, so it can be a balancing act.
How about you? Do you look for the biggest possible crowd for maximize socializing, or find something a little more cozy to do to celebrate the day?
Whichever day you celebrate, have a great long weekend everyone!!

So I decided I could use some time off, with no plans at all. Spent the last 5 days sleeping in, watching Netflix, going to the gym for as long as I wanted, catching some rays on the deck, and some occasional masturbation to keep things interesting!
How do you like to spend your time-off when you have nothing more than a stay-cation planned and nothing on your agenda?
