Well I'm still here, just barely as I don't at all care for the last iteration of changes & maybe what they call improvements for the site. Having been on CityHookups.com for at least a dozen years now, all I can say is that members have lost so much over time & it's a crying shame. The IM still hasn't been fixed of problems from way back. Not sure how they can call a one way dialogue that is "delivered" but not "read" a "chat" which is an actual dialogue between two or more people. Can't earn points to bolster your ability to chat or watch a cam, which by the way we used to get at least 3 per day, for free. Std. & Gold members can't chat unless the Gold member pays extra for std. contacts but hey we'll take 10pts anyway. Can no longer exclude no active members on search. Can't search by zip code anymore either which was convenient when traveling. And attention spans because of cell phones have ruined the IM & etiquette for the most part. Why should I pay for Gold again when it's gotten this bad. Hate the buzzmode & attempts to monetize & turn the site into an online strip club which I also feel is discriminatory against men as women aren't as visual so its hard for us to earn points & the toys for us aren't nearly as fun either. No! I feel we should go back in time towards an older model in which our ability to make contact is enhanced again. User success, in actually connecting & possibly hooking up, would actually guarantee the actual success of the site. I've had 5 successful hookups from here & am still dating one after 12yrs. Considering how few people are actually active in my area, I could say, not bad. Much harder to maintain the long distance relationships especially when I was working. Now semi- retired & still chasing a bit, searching for that "one" but haven't found her yet. Have had a lot of fun, some great sex, still looking for a more complete mental connection. Not sure its going to happen in this lifetime or as a result of this sad site as I'm about to give up on it. So many of the members I used to chat with have left or moved on to other platforms. I'm pretty close, if they don't drastically improve the site to make me wish to be Gold again or at least give std. members some privileges that might entice them to trade up, I frankly don't think its worth the price of entry, but of course I always remember those wonderful people that I've met, the fun times we had & the great sex that we've shared & that of course brings me back, for the connection, the butterflies, the desire for some strange that just might be...the "one"
