My Neighbor Has a Dog

(this is real, no fantasy)

I've been trying to find a way to introduce myself to my new neighbor. My did it for me. My neighbor was a labrador and my loves dogs. She and the have hit it off. My is blind and it's weird but the lab is a retired leader dog. The picked up that my is blind and went into instinctive protective mode. My and the have become great friends and through that bond I got to meet Mark. Mark has a sister that is blind and the was her leader for many years. It will be many years before my can quailfly for a leader dog, but Mark offered to help her learn how to take care of a very special dog. Now how do I get him to take of what I want? He has a girlfriend. Bummer, or maybe she's game? Time will tell.
I'm not as naive as I used to be.

 Just offer to make dinner for everyone one night and try to feel them out.
