Lost But Gained A Poem

She had the photos
And videos
Of days gone by
When she had such
Glorious looks
Nary a wrinkle
Adorned her face.

Today she smiles
Looking back
Knowing she might
Have lost the battle
With elastin
But gained wisdom.

If only we all
Had such an outlook!
To frown not about
What we lost
But what we gained.
We had this journey to make.
We used the Visa
That destiny bestowed.
It was not a waste.
