Forbearance A Poem
Forbearance A Poem I almost said what I really thought I almost told him My worries and fears But somehow I stopped. Oh dear heaven Thank you for The forbearance That kept me from telling him Of my negative thinking. I have a habit Of projecting my doubts Thinking others think Them as well. When in actuality They probably have No clue. And give me A perplexed look When I tell them What is going on In my head. Which lucky for me Gets me to laugh. And then I can sigh In relief That my doubts really Were unnecessary. I can go about my business With less cares. Less doubts And fears. But never taking For granted That they won't reappear. You know that expression putting words in my mouth...well I can be guilty of assuming folks think one way when in fact they have thought nothing like what I thought. Ha! Independently Romantic Sounds Better Than Lonely

Would it have been better if you told him? You shouldn't keep thoughts all bottled up. I'm sure there's nothing to hide that's grim. There is a mystery to you that may fill a cup.
