Test Of Affection. A Poem

I warned him
At the outset
That he was in
For a lot of affection
Yes a lot of touching
Hand holding
And hugging
And if not full on kissing
Then it could be
A lot of nibbling.

That is me
At my most basic
And my best
A giver of affection

Now to make
Him understand
That his being
It's recipient
Is akin to a test
With his wholehearted acceptance.
Meaning he passed!
And if he reciprocates
It will mean
My test of affection
He will have aced
And surpassed!
