Christmas Cookies

Man what a day yesterday was!! I started my Christmas cookie baking....typically it is a tradition that my Mom and I do together but she is not arriving until later this week so I'm on my own this year. I definitely can't complain though because last year I wasn't able to do any baking since I was still recovering from surgery and had the second surgery to have my portocath put in.

I managed to whip out 7 batches yesterday and will finish up today then it is a matter of putting all the gift tins together. With all the doctors that constantly monitor me now I have an extra long list this year and I of course can't forget my oncology nurses who were so incredible and who I still visit regularly.

Do any of you have anything special you make for the Christmas holiday? A family tradition in the kitchen? I'm hoping that soon my girls will be more interested in helping out in the kitchen and then they can start helping with Christmas cookies each year.

bonogirl> That is such a nice tradition to be thankful for what you have....I don't think people do that often enough. I have learned many things over the last year and one of them is to never take anything for granted and to always be thankful.....it is such an important thing!

Happy Holidays to you as well hun!
