Still alive. Been AWOL for a while. Had three wonderful weeks off work where I crammed heaps of fun things. Thought I would have plenty of time set up private thing so I could get messages, but had so much happening, I didn't get round it. Well the East of Australia is a blaze. No let up for the firefighters even in Winter, and things are getting worse with three weeks go before Summer starts. Read a fire report today telling all of us in the mountains to evacuate. Do they even know how many of us live in The Blue Mountains? How to cause panic. I'm going to pack some bags tonight and be ready to go if need be. The next two days are classed as... Catastrophic. I have lined up with a friend who lives down the mountain to stay there as I did in the terrible 20 fires where so many people lost everything, a dear friend included. I've gone into edit this post, as they've stuffed around with it. Numbers and words went missing. Hope they leave it alone this time. |

I didn't know the extent of the fires until just now.... calling it catastrophic might be underestimating things.  Hope you and yours remain safe.

What a difference from where I live...we had a light snow last week and the grass and woodlands are always wet this time of year. may you all be safe.

Stay safe my friend. I have been watching the fires on our News....really scary. Meanwhile the rest of NSW and Queensland continues to burn. The videos and photos are horrific. Still got my bags packed ready, not sure when I'll feel safe enough to unpack them.
