An un-eventful day!

An un-eventful day!

Well I cant say that my Christmas has been exciting or even present filled.
I have been working night shifts, from the Christmas Eve & will be doing so, until New Years Eve morning.
I spent Christmas day, in my hotel room, trying to get some sleep, before I had to return back to work that evening, on a lumpy, hard & unfamiliar bed, all alone.
As for my other half's present to me, I got the same as I got last year, only a different colour!
I know that I should be used to it by now, but just once, it would be nice if he thought about getting me something.
Even a bar of chocolate would be nice.
Well I'm just about to try & get some sleep again, on Boxing Day morning, in the same lumpy, hard & unfamiliar bed, all alone, as I have done for the last 2 days & will be doing so, for the next 5.
Then I finally get to go home & sleep in my own bed, for a few hours, before I go to my local watering hole, to help usher in a whole New Year, with my friends.
Lets just hope that this coming year, is a hell of a lot better, than this one turned out to be, a little over 12 months ago.

I wish for you a prosporous New Year, one with monies enough to do the things you must, friends enough to bring you good cheer, and someone to keep your bed and your soul warm.

I've always thought that if giving a gift has no thought put into it, but is just a process of going through the motions, then that gift really isn't worth much.

I hosted Christmas for some of my family and this Boxing Day, I will be hosting some more family.

I hope that in 2012 the only lumps you find in your bed are ones that you can cuddle with.

My Christmas wasn't very enjoyable either.

You can look forward to spending New Years eve amongst friends, which means it will be better than you Christmas was. SO the New Year will start out better, and hopefully continues on throughout the year.

Here's a late Christmas hug for you.

I was working over xmas and back to work tomorrow. So I won't be celebrating the new year too much! But yes, let's hope it is a much better one for us

I really felt for you reading this - as I am sure you know I love the whole Christmas, celebrating and giving presents thing. I really hope this year is better for you too.

Thank-you very much. I hope your New Year, is shaping up well
As for someone in my bed, to help me keep warm, does my cat count????

The only thing that is lumpy, in my bed, is my cat.
Mind you, she can take up, quite a lot of it, for such a small creature.

Thank-you very much.
Last year is one I would love to forget.
New Years Eve was fun, even after my so called other half, bailed out, just after the clocks struck midnight.
My friends made it a wonderful night.

It's not a nice place to be, in a hotel, on your own, over Christmas.
So where in the world were you?
I was a stones throw away from the Olympic stadium.
Thank-you for my New Years wishes.

Never mind just sparkling, I really would love to shine again.
It has been so long, I think my pilot light has gone out.
Thank-you for your lovely thoughts & words.

I'm sure, that now that you have your own abode, next Christmas will be a whole lot better than this one was for you.
New Years Eve was fun, with my friends, but it doesn't make my home life any nicer.

It did become a home away from home, or just seemed like it!
I hope this New Year, is a whole lot better, for the pair of us.

Well, as you know, Christmas has never really been my happiest time of the year.
I also hope that this year is better than the last one, but who knows. it's far too early to tell.
But thanks for the thought.

Even if it did take my friends about 2 days to recover, after coming out with me.
I keep telling them, that they really shouldn't come out to play, with the big girls!

Well at least your hotel was in a nicer place than mine.
Lets see, were would I rather be, in Stratford London or Siracha Thailand????
Tough decisions!
Finally got back to my comfy bed, in the early hours of New Years Day.
