No, I'm Not Dead. Today.
No, I'm Not Dead. Today. At least not in this instance. Death comes to us all, I am not about to waste the moments of life I have worrying about it, either. So, how the hell is everyone? Shit here at the Casa de Wild is pretty much the same as it ever was. I have the girls, I have been watching the first year of life as it grows and develops. I am always a little in awe of that first year. It is some amazing stuff. My little butterfly garden has really paid off. It is very cool to look out into the backyard to see them floating from flower to flower. And my Hummingbird plants have drawn a little interest so I am hopeful. There is a new addition to the family, a little two pound terrorist named Loki that was rescued from the front porch of a house in February. There were 12 puppies in a cat carrier, different breeds and different litters. He was one of the smallest, he is a Min Pin/Chihuahua cross. (He is up to 8 lbs now and the older dogs have each found a hiding place to nap.) I'm still about, still doing the same mundane things I have been doing for the last 6 years. I travel when I can, I read here when I am bored of my other sites. I doubt I will ever have a blog of any measure to post, but I will share photos once in a while. And if a muse ever descends on me again and I can think of a damn thing to say, I might return to writing again. So I will keep this blog open, in case it ever happens. My roses are doing well, but I do think I have a sickly one. I am going to move it this fall, and see if a new location will help it out a bit. "Shall I tell you the secret of the true scholar? It is this: every man I meet is my master in some point, and in that I learn of him." ~Ralph Waldo Emerson |
