Will we make it through the day? Will we make it through the day? Well, today is THE day. Most bloggers are probably writing something about THE RAPTURE today, or have already expressed their views on IT. Two hundred million people are to be wisked off the face of the earth and carried up to heaven. The rest of us poor slobs are to be killed in gigantic upheavals of the soil beneath our feet... Finally all human life will be ended on this planet on October 21st, 2011. One religious GENIUS has determined all THIS by being able to use his special ability to decipher a mathematical formula in the OLD TESTAMENT that tells ALL with the use of numerology, or a form of numerology. 6:00 PM Greenwich Mean Time is the date this RAPTURE of today, May 21st, 2011 is to be finished. I guess at that hour, the God of the Old Testament will take His dinner break. It's probable some of these facts are wrong. I've personally lived through so many of these DOOMSDAY deadlines I can't get worked up enough about them to read every word written by this man and his delusional group about THIS particular deadline. It doesn't appear this group has left themselves any WIGGLE room to escape ridicule when tomorrow dawns with its normal sunrise, It'll be interesting to find out what excuse is given for the Rapture not happening. Religion, religion, religion. Most of the problems on this planet; this tiny little molecule in the immensity of space and the universe, has been created by the tiny distorted minds of religious bigots. There probably IS something after death. It's certain we're all going to find out for ourselves one day. I'm not in any hurry for that day myself, and it makes me wonder what sort of miserable existence these people who believe, and crave their endings must be living in the here and now.... You are the second to suggest to me that we should pity this guy. You're right, no doubt he definitely could have benefited from extensive counseling and anti-psychotic meds  but I just recently found out that this guy made somewhere around $72 million on this whole thing. People were out spending their life savings, doing insane things. I talked to my mom yesterday and she said there was a woman who murdered her 4 year old son because she was afraid of what would happen to him during the rapture.  So really, this guy screwed up a LOT more lives than he helped. He didn't just hurt himself here... he hurt a lot of people. Yes I hope he doesn't harm himself but at the same time... I hope he feels bad. And I have a feeling he probably knew his prediction wasn't correct... it sounds to me like he was in this for the money. From time to time throughout history this type of Charismatic person with evil intentions, or who's just crazy, pops up on the scene. I don't think you could ever be taken in by such a person InnerPeace, and I don't believe I could be either. i guess we can at least be happy about that... xxxxdavid

Today was the Rapture, where only the most faithful were to be transported to heaven....then....from today until Oct 21st, this year, those of us remaining, will be killed off by a number of horrendous disasters, until on Oct. 21, 2011 no more life will exist on this planet... Yes, I know you believe in a God sweetness. I too, believe in a power larger than us. Don't look down on this guy too much. He's just another person who's been driving his car backward and can't figure out why his neck is sore from looking behind him for all those miles. He may just go into seclusion tomorrow and no news outlet will be able to reach him... I hope he doesn't harm himself. His followers are just as much to blame as he is. Fucking christ, are you serious?! All I knew were the dates, the numbers, and that 3% were to be saved... but they're actually gonna kill the rest of us?!?! Does this "happen" today, or in October?! Yes, I can't wait to see what this delusional asswipe has to say tomorrow morning. I'll be waiting with bated breath. It was fun to be at work the whole time this was happening... cracking jokes all night about it... texting friends and family in different time zones to check if they're still alive... LOL  Don't get me wrong... I very much believe in God; I had a near-death experience 5 years ago and have been able to see spirits before and since then... there is no doubt in my mind that we have something to look forward to, and/or that there is definitely evil in the world and debts to pay... but I seriously doubt God is or ever will be doing a massive sweep of the entire planet. That's just about the most idiotic thing I've ever heard. IMHO religion is a problem. If everyone had the ability to choose for themselves, I think we would all be just fine. My mother's youngest brother was a Methodist Minister in Chicago. He confided in me when I was only about ten, that the bible and especially the Old Testament, was mostly a series of stories and not meant to be taken literally...Yes, Layla, I guess the world is still here as it has been for millions of years. xxxxdavid
