Happiness for today... Happiness is all about you. Just look around... Sometimes you have to look for it in the smallest of things. a 's smile a puppy birthday cake warm socks rain on a flowerbed calling an old friend walking down the street and saying hello the smell of coffee a 's first view of the ocean reunions giving blood so many more they just can't be put down here. Then there are the obvious ones: a roof over your head food job health friends religion loved ones this list could go on, also. The point is, most people, including myself, don't take the time to realize just how lucky they are... until something comes along that upsets the applecart. Then, the character of that person comes out. Do they fold under... or do they make the best of it. This is the time of year more than a few think about giving. Try giving more of yourself. It only costs an effort on your own part. You will be surprised with the results. It's hard to say exactly what I'm the most thankful for right now. But I do know I have a lot to be thankful about. If I could really reach out and give one and all of my friends here a hug, I would. If I could reach out and take away some of the hurt and pain from your lives... that would be done, also. If only... well, I guess you get the idea. Be happy! Be thankful! Be strong enough to show someone else you care. Off the soapbox, unlisted |

girl, you are sooo right. I have missed a couple of times not being there when I should have been. I just let things keep getting in my way. I missed telling a couple close friends that I loved them. Now, I pray for their understanding and forgiveness. I hope that I don't let another down that way. Every friend is precious. Every person in my life is different and unique to themselves. Our relationship with every person, is individual... each with it's own twist. I celebrate each and every one of them.
