I Am A Hardcore Addict Okay, I know I had a bad day yesterday and in all seriousness sometimes when I feel really bad I turn to something that comforts me. Don't we all? Some people do drugs, others turn to finding a lover. I have not done any of these things but rather I turned to my one nemisis that leads me down the road of evil without it even being an issue for me. It is well documented that I have a severe problem with chocolate. Ok, I am a cheap chocoholic. Even bad chocolate will due just fine. I like dark, I prefer milk, I like chocolate milk, chocolate covered prezels, twix bars, caramilk bars, dove chocolate and chocolate covered almonds. But I have one true passion that began when I was a little girl and it is still my one true love above all. Nutella. My love affair with Nutella began in elementary school. My mother would make me a sandwich for lunch. I would open the bread and lick off the chocolate spread then throw the bread away. Ohhh yes, I was that hardcore even at that age. Over the years the addiction became stronger. I went from licking Nutella off bread to using just a spoon, I would refridgerate it so not to consume so much. These days my facination with the tasty treat has reached an all time high. I buy 3 jars at a time. I hide them hoping in my sleep I will not be able to find them. I keep them out of the fridge and I use a big spoon! So last night I was feeling pretty low. I fell asleep and awoke with a desire for something bad. I went straight to the Nutella. I took a big spoon and the jar and got into bed. I ate, I licked the spoon, my dogs helped along and fell back asleep once I felt satisfied. Doesn't my world look good at this point? Well, it was until my firefighter friend called from outside my door close to midnight. I ran in my little silk slip to answer the door. I was talking and acting all cool until he started laughing at me. I ran to the mirror and there I was. I hit rock bottom. My chin and around my lips were full of Nutella like a drunk woman with bad lipstick. My nighty was dirtier than hell and my dogs helped with that. I checked my sheets and well...I had to change the bedding. I need an intervention....after I finish the other 2 jars. Is it just me with these desires? bella  |

LOL, don't worry hun. we all have our guilty little pleasures and that is ok. don't even worry about it. we all need our own little release from time to time whatever it is.

Have you ever tried licking Nutella off of a medium 'chocolate' chest (or medium 'chocolate' ummm...)? If not, I'd be glad to be your first experience. Bellina, I have been eating nutella since I was a kid. Hazelnut and chocolate is the best. The last time I ate it, it was room temperature and I ate the whole jar while watchin a movie late at night. Since dieting I havent eaten it since that day. I just cant eat a little, I have to have alot but then again I do everything in abondanza. My other evil is Pistachio ice cream. Protein and anti oxidants are in Nutella so don't worry about eating it. Maybe not in bed unless your firefighter is feeding it to you.

hahaha Bella, you and 90% of women. All my friends, dates, my former wife, my mother - all of them have the same problem. Or maybe it isn't a problem except that one jar has like, what 7000 calories? There is an excellent book for sugar addicts that my former girlfriend bought. She said it helped her alot - Total Recovery or something like that. You should look it up on Amazon or Chapters. They say it helps a lot with mood swings too. ...and there's something wrong with this? this is perfectly normal behaviour i do believe.. in fact, i have a box full of decadent delights i picked up from the french bakery yesterday, ok... not all of it is chocolate as i will give equal time to pastries too especially a napoleon!  ...That which does not kill me merely pisses me off!...

MMMMM...Nutella! Now you are talking! I'd love to lick Nutella from a hot, willing body! In the meantime...here is a little Nutella recipe for you. Soften some nutella, maybe mix in just a small quantity of cream if you don't plan on keeping them long, and also mix in some crushed biscuit (cookie). Form the mix into ball about 1" diameter and chill. Roll in some melted chocolate of your fave type and sprinkle with crushed nut. (Hazelnut or other.) I haven't made these for ages because I used to limit myself to two with a short black, and my coffee intake would go through the roof!

I completely understand what you are going through I was clinically diagnosed with an addiction to chocolate...seriously! It was so bad that I would walk in a grocery store and steal a stack of giant chocolate bars, take them outside, eat them all and go back in for more. Terrible I know and that goodness I wasn't caught but my mother noticed me hiding wrappers around my room that she knew she didn't buy so I ended up confessing to my addiction and after seeking medical help, I was given a ton of Carob(artificial chocolate)to eat as I pleased. Well I tell you what, after eating as much as I could for about 3 months, I got so sick of it I quit chocolate cold turkey and didn't eat it again till I was much older. I still enjoy a little bite every so often, but not like when I was a "Chocolate Junkie" I don't think your addiction is as bad as mine was, so dig in to you jar of Nutella and enjoy Cause bird's have dreams too
