I couldnt believe that a total stranger would just haul off and knock the snot out of a woman who politely told him no and to back off. I know how it feels to be beaten for no apparent reason...I had an ex boyfriend who I had dated for 4 years off and on who beat me nearly every time I'd see him. He had "issues" and he'd take them out on me because I was the closest thing in his way so I'd take the flack for it. I kept going back even after vowing I'd never have anything to do with him ever again because I thought I was "In LOVE". I know this has nothing to do with your situation, Bella, but I can however relate to how you feel about having to walk around with bruised eyes, busted lips and bruised limbs in front of family and friends and school mates. No man, nor any woman has the legal right to hit anyone of the opposite sex, unless its for self defense...even then its not right but sometimes it is second nature to try and defend one's self. I guess what I'm trying to say is, even though its hard to get over an attack such as that, you have to move on with your life as much as possible, otherwise it could consume you and cause alot of pain and heartache in the near future. Men like the one who done this to you is a scumbag and needs to be persecuited for his unsightly actions. I hope you get well soon!

bella, You're not a victim at all. You fought back and willed your way out of the situation the best you could, despite him being stronger. He was upset you didn't cave to his demands so he did what all little boys do, they lash out. Cover up the bruises, but understand that what you did was strength personified given the situation. If he did this to you, he's done it to other women as well. Karma is real, honey. He'll run in to the wrong woman someday and he might not escape with his balls intact. Promise. Hug and cuddle sweetheart. Neanderthal thought I know, but guys should never hit ladies. We should protect them and look after them. He obviously believes he can act with impunity and get away with it. He should be reported. Or what will he do to someone next time? I would stand in the queue to tear his eyes out and piss on his brain. He is not big and he is not clever. PS: I followed Mermys link. She loves ya Pumpkin. I think everyone shares the same idea - get the cops involved. Then... buy a Tazer. If he does it again, apply it right to his balls. Repeatedly.

Reading this post broke my heart, and not only because of what happened to you. But because its seems that I meet more and more girls who have been mistreated this way. One girl that I ended falling for and had a short fling with was not only abused in her relationship, but it was done by a friend of mine. The only reason I didn't do anything was because she asked me not to. Needless to say this ruined my friendship with him. And then this summer I met another girl, who I practically fell in love the second I saw her. I liked her so much I was to scared to try anything so we just ended up friends, ended up telling me that her last boyfriend beat her as well. I just don't understand how a man can do this. You really should press charges.
