Would you put up a nude photo of yourself on your wall at home?

Would you put up a nude photo of yourself on your wall at home? This is a short one. Promise  This is weird. Okay. To me it is. I met two friends for lunch earlier, and decided we'd head back to one of their place to hang out a little more. WHen we got to her place, she gave the both of us a tour of her place, showed us around. Then we got to her bedroom, and there on the wall was a poster-sized nude photograph of herself. Umm...what's weirder for me is, she's the third person I know who has a nude photo of herself blown up, no less, on their own wall. Really? Do you really need that? I thought it was a bit narcissistic. Okay, I understand it's their home and their choice, and I am no one to judge. But....yeeesh. Heh...I still think it's a little...much. But that's just me. What do you think? Would you, pay someone to take a nude photo of yourself, then blow it up, put it in a frame, and hang it on your wall? Haha...sorry. I still can't stop chuckling to myself everytime I think about it... |

Would I put up a nude photo of yourself on your wall at home? Not likely, and certainly not one showing it was me. However, I could understand someone single that looks great and has an artistic photo doing so. Maybe they consider it an icebreaker or mood enhancer. Suum cuique.

If any part of my schoolboy education has become a lifelong maxim it is the first rule of physics which states that for every action there is an equal and opposite reaction. And the reason is that this don't just apply to physics but to everything under the sun including human behaviour. So I would put nude portraits down to a cheeky swipe at the conservative tradition attitudes to nudity that still dominate social behaviour. Obviously you have other ways of reacting which I am sure also explains why most of us are members of this site in the first place. But all the same it is an interesting concept. It would be even more interesting adorning a dining room wall. Now that would really spice up the conversation around the dinner table. And after dinner activities also perhaps. Just thinking aloud here but suppose I visited this friend of yours and then questioned if the picture was really her? I mean is there really any point in keeping your clothes when you have a full frontal hanging on the wall?\ Sir Teezalot WAR IS ABSURD

My thoughts exactly. I see myself nude all the time. Given, some things change over the years, but yea, I'd rather see a nude photo of someone else But yea, a great way of preserving the moment though.

I really wish I had more pictures of myself at earlier ages, particularly at points when I was in peak condition (most recently during 2011). I also wish I had more pictures of my wife at points when she was in peak condition, particularly in 2009 and 2011. For each of us, that would include nice portraits that we could share with relatives, artistic nudes we would mostly keep to ourselves, and erotic nudes we could use for our own arousal. We're attracted to each other just fine as we are now, but it could be stimulating to check out hot pictures of each other right before getting busy. We also wish we had some erotic videos of ourselves. We tried to make one in 2010 or 2011, when we both looked pretty darn hot, but I was so worked up in anticipation of sex with her -- particularly on-camera sex with her -- that I messed up the camera settings and ended up with nothing. On the other hand, it might be nice to have such pictures, possibly even in poster size, to hang on the walls for special occasions: anniversary sex, birthday sex, make-up-an-occasion sex. It might also be fun to help set the mood, in the event that we ever find someone we want to try a threesome with. So, to answer about your friend, maybe she had the picture hanging up specifically in anticipation of you seeing it; maybe she wants to hint to you that she'd like to fool around with you. Or maybe it's there in anticipation of other potential sex partners, to get them into the mood, and you just got to see it incidentally. However, after reading the comments from a few others, as well as asking a few of my other friend's thoughts, I think it could be more along the lines of arty-farty-reminder-of-yourself-looking-good-while-you're-in-good-shape kinda thing. It WAS a nicely done photo. Ah well...who's to say, right? She can be a little self absorbed at times....but don't we all...
