 Life is always about supply and demand. If you go to a needlepooint convention as a male you are the hot commodity. Got to pick your battles and terrain to compete.

 That's not surprising at all. I did a Get Local search and in my area there are 97,452 Men seeking Women and only 7,535 Women seeking Men. that's nearly 13:1 Men:Women ratio.

 Numerically, yes... but you'll meet people if you have something to offer them. I have had reasonable success.
